T.um Future Technology Museum, Seoul

I found out about possibly the coolest museum I have ever been to when googling for free things to do in Seoul when we were there in April 2014.

You had to pre-book a slot and we were extremely lucky that the only slot available in the entire week was on the very day we didn’t have plans for.

We turned up on time and were given badges which tracked where we were the entire time in the building.

The first exhibit was a large wall which would be the future living room. It detected the woman’d blood pressure, her weight history, calorie intake so far on that day, suggested meals, gave information on the weather of Seoul, received her incoming calls, served as her work station where she could alter car designs, send emails, watch movies, listen to music, etc.

It reminded me of the movie Minority Report where Tom Cruise would swipe images in the air. It was exactly like that.

We then witnessed the avatar shopping experience.

There were music videos featuring us.

At the end it showed us what patients at the Seoul University Hospital can do with the technology they’ve developed for them.

Very cool stuff.

I thought that Samsung D’Light experience in Gangnam was fun but not as exciting in comparison.
