It was an incredibly hot day for the end of September when our Mauritian friends came to visit from London for the weekend. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for a trip up into the mountains. We decided to go to Grindelwald.
We parked the car and took the cable car up to First from where we started our hike.
We could see all the mountains around us as we did the easy roughly 2 hour hike to get to Grosse Scheidegg. As I was almost six months pregnant, it took me longer than normal to complete the hike.
It was an easy hike with outstanding views. We had to cross little streams and saw some waterfalls along the way.
At the end of it we took a bus back down to Grindelwald and enjoyed a rösti before heading back to Basel.
