I’ve heard and seen pictures of the tree climbing goats of Morocco even before I made it to Morocco the first time I was there in 2007.
Unfortunately we didn’t make it to Agadir where we’d have seen them.
We were recently in Marrakech over Christmas 2015 and while talking to a tour operator to find out about the different day trips we could do, we found out that a day trip to the seaside town of Essaouira would allow us to see these goats in trees along the way.
It was all I needed to hear. I was sold. We were going to Essaouira to eat some fresh seafood and so I could finally see these goats in trees.
They did not disappoint.
